Earthquake in Tanzania

The earthquake that struck Tanzania happened in tuesday, 17th of July 2007 at 5.10p.m. at epicenter(10.10p.m. Singapore time). The earthquake happened 80km North-West the city of Arusha in Tanzania.

The earthquake happened due to normal transform fault of the African plate and had caused an earthquake swam

The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.0.

Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties or damage. Not much impact of the earthquake has affected the citizens of Tanzania.

The government did not take action as there was not a lot of damage caused by the earthquake
but they will warn the citizens when another earthquake is coming.

I think that affected citizens should be well informed of the disaster that is coming and they sholud be evacuated to minimize casualties. The government should also give aid to the victims to reconstruct their homes and give them a proper temporary place to stay in and financial aid.
